I don't think all the hats should be free.
Some should be free like the way some are now.
Some you should have to buy but there is an unlimited stock of those.
Some you have to buy and there is a limited stock (there you have your trading for markets).
And finally some you must win in events. (there you have even more for markets :))

2k1 was most successful when it people were role-playing there. There was a time when Graal 2001 got at least 100 people daily, and about 60% of those were role-players. When we had about 80 daily, then almost all of them were role-players

Graal 2001 cannot and will not survive without some form of element of role-playing. It never did. I don't want to sound egotistical, but when Dustari died, other kingdoms started to taper, then all of a sudden so did numbers. When all the kingdoms died, there was no one left to play graal 2001.

Personally, assigning elements to kingdoms is stupid, but hey, that's just me. No problem with having one specific element affiliated with a kingdom, but none of this "omg dustari is pure fire and zormite is pure water etc etc"

And I don't see why you are all getting excited. Birdbird, you can't even start this Graal 2001 3D project until Unixmad is done with the Graal 3D, after that it may take a very long time to make a whole new server with it, unless you're making a new Graal 2001 which may be out within a week or two, then I must be mistaken.

I'd say a little over a month to finish.

Elemental wise, its just to identify the kingdoms locations and place in explinations.

Nothing to do with magic or anything, its like a theam or so.

Now that I've got that out of my system...

I'd rather have the new bodies over the old ones. The old bodies lag like crazy when you try to PK with them. New bodies are just much faster and more accurate when fighting...

And yes, RPing on 2k1 WAS more fun than on 2k2, just because everything was even.

No, new bodies actually hit when they're suppose to, old bodies aren't accurate enough.

Its easier to fight with the new bodies, I like them, but you cant customize them.

Id rather stick with the current ones.

You need 25 monster kills and 20 Crafted Gold to get the sword. You can find it on the opposing shore of the lower left of the Zormite Island(not really sure what the name is) by the only waterfall falling off Mt.Antora.

Okay, meaning that there had to be more role-players because of fringe parties such as Karakaze and other RP guilds, so therefore kingdoms on 2k1 is that much more important.

I've been trying to get our ORIGINAL dev server back for quite some time.

Loriel had it taken over, and is letting some other people make a playerworld there. Stefan was going to talk to Loriel, but I'm still waiting for this o.O. Loriel agreed to give us a subdirectory on 2k1 dev, but that's not enough for me. I want 2k1 dev back.

I've been trying to get our regular kingdoms back as well as make many improvements on our overworld.

Jeff's blocked me from readding regular kingdoms, instead he's wanting his "Server guilds" idea to pass. I disagree; I think we should have regular kingdoms as well. Jeff, however, thinks that it would be "unfair" to people who pass through his server guild system :-\

I had to fire FIVE people within the past 3 weeks, just for never coming on, or for telling me they have "more important" things to do, and then getting jobs on other servers.

I'm tired of waiting for Stefan to get Loriel to give us back OUR server. It's "Bomy Development". Not "Loriel+playerworld" development. I understand that Loriel likes having his own dev server (It's a nice thing to have), but it's more important that 2k1 has it.

And Jeff, we just need to talk about where 2k1 is going. I have a LOT to say, and we haven't exactly agreed on some important issues.

I say it'd be prudent to use local guilds with rentable houses instead of kingdoms. I'm wanting to implement those anyway, so why should we give some unbalanced form of affirmitive action to roleplaying guilds?

I'm just waiting for my next project. I was going to work on that quest thing Tseng had mentioned to me but Androk said he finished it and I didnt see anything that looked grossly incomplete. If you ever need work done my forum pm is always working. Although if possibly I would prefer to do whole projects and not pick up projects that other people have started but not finished.

Ok I just read this entire thread and I like the idea. Old heart system and bodies.

I recommend trying to balance the economy so there isnt an over abundance of money. Example money keeps getting made and going into circulation. Money on top of money. But there is nothing on the server that is eating the money at the same time. So people are making more and more money and none of it is going off the server.

I wish Trueheat and Sisok would come back for Karakaze. :( But I dont see it happening.

I just officially loaned the dev server to loriel and birdo to see what they can do with it :) With my help, if they want it, haha

Also how old of graal2001 are you going with this? Like old tile set or sticking with the current tile set.

I was under the impression you both were under the control of the dev server.

When I proposed the reconstruction to Jeff two weeks ago, he said he would talk to Tesing about it, later he told me that Tesing did not want to give up his development positon on the dev server, and rather offered me a lat Positon. Insulted I was.

So I took the more direct method of contruction, asking stefan for the private server "Graal2001" instead of bardging in on what you've done.

You've guys had more then enough time to show something at least, and its to your own consiquence that you've gotten no where, wether its one person or the whole lot.

I don't know any of your talents, but from what I've seen on 2k1, I don't want any of the current staff there to help me withought privatly prooving to me that their work is to the quality I desire.

I'm tired of petty staff squabilings and she said he said he said that she said that its his fualt and not mine. I'm not working with people who don't know how to organize.

Once Stefan puts up the Graal2001 private server, I will be the Development cowardanator and manager.

And Jeff, Why the sudden change of heart? I don't want your help, no offence. You haven't shown me you're capable enough to manage a server. I'm ither in it to totaly control the project's development, then later organize the staff with the best posible people. I don't care about current positions or likes amung the current staff, I want this project to succed and not fall over again because of Staff arguments and strives for power.

Sorry to sound demanding or very mean.
But the only way I'm going to start the 2k1 reconstruction the right way, is by having a totaly new server with full Control. I'm not a power hungry Avain here now, I just know what the heck I'm doing. Within a month (or like a month and two weeks) I would have the server up, along with the correct staff positions and management in place.

So far, I haven't seen squat done with the current bomy moon, thats why I am so "not liking" their sense of work and acclaimed talents.

No offence to them, I dont hate them, I just don't think they have what it takes. Then again, it takes alot to prove me wrong.

My favorite past time was always fishing. :D Although it certainly wasnt balanced with the other jobs profit wise. :( But it was number one in my book. Just need more fishing places. :D Ok I'm rambling now so I'll just shut up.

I think my main point is how far back in time are you going? I like the old tile set or at least older stuff. Right around when zormite was still on antora.

Well Loriel does control dev now, we both have leet level 4.
