Oh yeah, someone on my bus threw a car battery out the window, and it shattered someone's windshield. Everyone accused him, and he didn't get in trouble. My friend threw gum out the window, and he was suspended off the bus for 3 days.

No you aren't Marle.

manton 06-01-2001 10:06 AM

Early last year,a first grader that went to my sisters' school was suspended because he made his hand and fingures into a gun shape and said "Bang".

evilive 06-01-2001 10:08 AM

Same here. I haven't gone to those crazy places... hee hee.... I could any time I wanted though... just have grab my mercury and chuck it at a window....

06-01-2001 10:09 AM

Heheh. I think the worst incident I can remember was a time when some kids brought marijuana to school...They smoked it in front of the administration, and didn't get busted. Yet, 3 days later, a couple kids bring cough medicine to school and get suspended. THERE is something I don't understand...

WingDrgn 06-01-2001 10:10 AM

Cough Medicine is a drug when abused, its like LSD.

but he wasn't abusing it, just bringing it in.

Crono Illusion 06-01-2001 10:12 AM

I've never been suspended or sent to detention.

I never said he was, he just busted them because of the possession of something LEGAL

evilive 06-01-2001 10:13 AM

Don't ya just hate that?

06-01-2001 10:14 AM

Exactly. They didn't use it, they didn't do anything with it...Heh. I realized that we're almost posting in real-time, that's rather frightening...Oh, and I've never been suspended, been late to school, or been to detention, ever. ^__^ I have a perfect record, aside from absences...My sig is almost made, yay.

JungleKid 06-01-2001 10:20 AM

06-01-2001 10:20 AM

Scared, eh? Well, that's what I'm good for...MY SIG BE DONE. I'll have it up very, very soonz0r! Mweeheehee...But, seriously, I have almost a clean record. I've almost never been in trouble at school for anything, I've always been good friends with the administration(Heh heh heh.), and at my tech school, all of the staff love me because I can help them do lots of things on their computers...So, I actually have a bit of power. The only time I've ever been in trouble was where one kid almost broke his back at school...And they thought that I was involved. Psshaw...

06-01-2001 10:31 AM

I got an out of school suspension for attaching a big post-it note saying "**** you" on a dodgeball. The catch? I threw it at my PE teacher when she wasn't looking. :D

Ahahahahah!:D

Fai 06-01-2001 10:37 AM

My school is stupid.

If you say "Gun" "Kill" or "Hate... You get a 5 day suspension.

Even if someone was going to shoot the school up, what would suspension do? They could still walk in and shoot people.

And we aren't allowed to stand in the lobby because if someone came in and shot people, the lobby would be first. But we can stand outside the school in front of the lobby :)

*sigh* I sometimes feel disgusted to live in this country because of these things. People make such a big deal over petty things that are usually just natural for children to do. My opinion is that they are trying to force children to think a certain way, thus outcasting those that choose to not agree with that logic. Its a liberal thing (politics). They want to be free of all abolutes, yet they turn around and are hypocrites....yes, very sad indeed.

I totaly agree,
but if there gonna force these rules they should atleast tell us ahead of time the rules and punishments for things that they dont

G_yoshi 06-01-2001 10:56 AM

to be honest...i feel that the american goverment...more or less..the liberal side has the agenda to do such. That is why you see fewer parents involved in their child's education because they are too lazy and let the schools do it which is wrong. Most of these school shootings are a direct results of parents being neglegent and ignorant of what their child/children do. I, however, feel that it would be more of a burden for a parent to try and control each aspect of a child's life. lol...i look forward to getting married someday and having children as do my parents...so they can spoil them to death like most grandparents do :D But im probably a couple years from doing that yet...dont even have a girlfriedn :(

I just wish parents would take the responsibilty they bring on themselves more seriously and the government would keep to itself instead of trying to mass indoctrinate which is what it does day in and day out. Only the foolish are blind to it because they pretend to not see it :D

Exactly. And students rebel, thus causing school shootings. They think that if they break the rules, it'll be satisfactory. If the rules weren't so strict, I bet hardly any of this would happen.

But without a set of guidlines for these kiddies, they may chose to go wild and rebel anways

FatherDante 06-01-2001 11:05 AM

"school shootings" aren't common enough to be logically considered in affecting policy, but they are because of mass hysteria.

I guess I have to live per the enlightenment philosophy that as a member of a society I relinquish my rights.

I just wish the society didn't excercise that denuding so often.

Tyhm 06-01-2001 11:06 AM

I've been suspended twice in grade school for biting people, once in kindergarten for chasing someone with a stick (the existance of the stick was incidental, but try telling that to the witch-hunters in Catholic School Administration), sent to detention a bunch of times for various crimes including making inhuman noises in 2nd grade, written up and given timeouts for things like wasting paper and reading during math...
Then after I left catholic school, I think I got sent to the office once for messing around with my best friend in Algebra, and threatened a few times with being banned from the Mac lab for destroying FoolProof....

HIC 06-01-2001 11:15 AM

Gee, Vermain I am sure glad to hear about this

WingDrgn 06-01-2001 12:01 PM

But it snows more often, so how is the grass greener?

Kaimetsu 06-01-2001 10:02 PM

Wow... England ownz America in terms of education. We're a little bit less stupid when it comes to discipline, but then we do often act a little bit lenient.
