Nope, it was Lamer. If you read the log he gave me warnings.

Me grow up?! YOU JAILED ME FOR LOSING A SPAR!

Chrismas 05-16-2001 12:49 AM

I'm gonna quote Deetto here, slavery is illegal on graal, so you cant technically own someone, so Penguins name WAS illegal and a racist remark so Lamer did have the power to jail him.

omni-m00gle 05-16-2001 01:21 AM

I had 0wned not 0wns.
I wasnt referring to slavery, Chris :P

Chrismas 05-16-2001 01:24 AM

How would he have known that, someone put my name and the end of their owned list, and i only lost to him by 1 heart... so they must have been talkin slavery, and i think of that as a racist remark. ::cough::

A name is not grounds for jailing.

A police member should rise above petty namecalling.

I don't know who jailed Penguin, but I am very dissapointed at the police member that did.

StoneColdRichie 05-16-2001 03:23 AM

I just got home
I don't see how those pictures prove anything, though.

It was the end of the spar in the second one and when I served jail time in the first.

What you should be worrying about, is that someone was unfairly jailed. That is corruptness Gameo, something that according to you, Police does not have.

If he was unfairly jailed, then Lamer will have his tag taken away.

G_yoshi 05-16-2001 04:13 AM

here is an idea! Maybe a shot of the player list should have been included.......that would make a whole world of difference.....all you have to do is push PrtSc to copy what is on screen to clipboard then paste into an img file!

I feel so smart

Munkey 05-16-2001 04:16 AM

lol...you people are still going on about corruption.

Yes being jailed for no reason is something that should be forgotten quicky and ignored.

G_yoshi 05-16-2001 04:30 AM

i was just pointing out a uh....um....*brain fart*......well, you get the point.....

Pago 05-16-2001 04:48 AM

I don't even know why this arguement is being locked in the confines of the message board. !Penguin, if you really want something done about this, you need to stop arguing with the person who jailed you, and start taking this incident outside of this thread. Of course Lamer's not going to admit that he jailed you for beating him in a spar. That would not only wipe his tag off like water on slate, but it would totally screw any tidbit of maturity he had before the incident.

Police have had many records of jailing people for personal reasons, so I'm not very surprised that !Penguin was jailed for that reason. And what really pisses me off is the fact that Lamer was off duty. The way I see it, players with admin tags shouldn't be able to turn into Super Man when they're provoked. Sure, if you were trying to run a public event or settle a dispute and !Penguin started swording the crap out of you, that's jailing grounds, but if he beat you in a spar when you were off duty... that's out of line.

I simply cannot stress this enough. Players just shouldn't be given administrative powers and still be allowed to play the game on a normal basis.

Technically, Police do not have administrative powers. All they can do is jail people. They don't have GP Boots or anything.

No one on New Main does, Clowntricycle.

Pago 05-16-2001 04:55 AM

Jailing, since it includes punishing players for breaking rules stated in Graal's conduct policy, is in fact, an administrative power.

Now can we start commenting on the content of the post instead of correcting typographical errors?

What are you talking about? I never corrected any typographical errors.

fugitive316 05-16-2001 05:52 AM

Wise Pago...

The top admins know this goes on, and they do nothing about it. No matter how loud you scream, it will not make them care.

vergil 05-16-2001 06:43 AM

I dont know who to believe. Your name DOES show up afte ryoyu leave a spar zone but only if you had 100 ap before you came out, the fact that the person in the pictuer has 50 AP (coincedently the default AP of any character you might laydown in the level editor) makes it worse..

Immitat0r 05-16-2001 06:53 AM

(James205)

Ok, first you can see your name, by typing "showname" in the text area, I do that all the time when I take screenshot to show who is me sometime. I don't think penguin is lying, i don't know though, lamer could be lying and really did that but is trying to lie to not get fired, but penguin could also be lying, but I dont know...

Pago 05-16-2001 07:13 AM

Well, even if we never find out who's telling the truth and who's the *****, something should still be done about players running around with jailing powers, so nothing like this is even suspected again. The way I see it, players shouldn't be able to play the game on a normal basis once they obtain any kind of power above normal player status. Police could still monitor the game and listen to PMs, but they shouldn't be able plant their feet on Graalian soil... ever.

Yeah, it's really hard to keep track of things.
Should have a GP force =\

Fai 05-16-2001 07:16 AM

Graal needs to hire like 5 different GPs who live in different timezones or have different schedules so they can be on at all times. Then Police won't be needed, OR ET. GPs could hold better events with RC. And less event holders means bigger events. Fun fun fun fun fun.

Yes.
That would be much better.

IceHawk 05-16-2001 07:17 AM

Are you saying Pago, that I am corrupt because I am in police and I want to help Graal?
