Actually, it doesn't necessarily have to be someone who is good at level designing, just anyone who can be responsible enough to moderate the forums and visit them often. Although I think that if someone is a moderator for a forum, they automatically visit it more often?

Well, usually a Mod's job is to help the people out in the forum, as well as moderate. So lets say someone's having some difficulty in level making, or has a question about some stuff. The mod's job would be to answer it, or help them with it. Sure, others can do that, but it's not really their job...

So yeah, it kinda does matter if you're good at levels or not...

The moderator's job isn't just to delete inappropriorate posts, you need to know some style so you can help out people that want it and give comments on how to improve, etc.

im pretty active and pretty popular, i am on the forums everyday and I would keep things in line. I would help players also in it and such, maybe even type up a long level tutorial

I'm active on the levels/graphics forms every day, I may not "mod" but I'm there, I ususaly don't see any discrepencys in attitude there Alkaren, the only forums I do go to now are the graphics, levels, and main forums now.

And why isn't kawaii removed aswell than? I mean, she only goes online to check the lat and the 2k2 forums, and to post an art thread once every two weeks.

I like kawaii but she's to inactive.

I can't stand the level editing section because it's just a bunch of 'Rate this level' threads.

I wouldn't mind moding the levels forum, I've been around for a long time, at least a year and a half. I don't mod any other forums, I believe I'm mature enough to handle the job as well.

oh and I can make really good levels, so I could give player's advice and help if they were ever in need of it. I don't see why I shouldn't get the spot, but I'm sure there are other people who are just as worthy if not more.

I just want to mod a forum, I'm always on... really, I am.

I've been around a while to and I am good at levels but I don't like that section, like I said, it's all "Rate my level" and "Hiring Lats".

Well seeing as some wanting me as moderator or something here, I have to decline that offer if I get it, because I don't want to become something like that really :)

I haven't been online because I got a virus, and I won't be online for quite some time, lost everything on my computer so...!

And I also got quite bored playing Graal when it turned all pay to play, as many of my friends left, so therefore I don't play much anymore :P

Checking back when I can, modem not working so temporary connection in use, which don't work very well neither ^_^

Hmmmmm...this is everything I can think of right now...New styles, new tricks, questions, rate this rate that, hiring lats :rolleyes:.. You're right, not to much I can think of, but I'm sure there could be more.

I posted with Kasuagi, I upgraded my account October 2001. I've been playing Graal since the beginning of 2001 though, I believe.

I get tired of those threads, but like Archaon stated, that's about the only thing you can discuss, other than how to improve levels or what you look for. you might occasionaly find a thread commenting or bashing a server's levels.

Here's what I think:

Since levels can be designed in practically any way possible (of course, some don't look all that tasty to the eye ;)), the levels forum should have at least more than one moderator. Two would be nice, three would be the max.

Why?

Everybody has a different style and opinion of what looks good and what doesn't. It would be pretty neat on having an opinion of a level from 2~3 professional (okay, well) level makers, and seeing what they say. One of them might tell the original level creator to place the table to the right a bit, and the other might tell him to have no table at all.

Well, I don't know. It's the master texan's choice.

As much as I want Archaon to mod it, it sure would be unfair for the others :(

exactly! one level maker might look at things from another angle, but his choice might not be the best, that's is why it's important to have two or three moderators on each forum.

I think I figured out a way to end the "RAET MY LEBEL!1" threads, just make one official thread and you can post there. it's pretty simple, but who knows?
