Koni can I ask you something? With those leaves on the tree, or just the whol entire tree, are they a webgif or tiles? Because they cover over the dirt and roof and stuff.

mmmmkay: It's obviously a .png, seeing as how it blends in with all of the tiles behind it. And Konidias, I think the other edge of the pathway tiles were nicer.

Yes it's a png. The player can walk behind the trees and stuff..

I know about the path, I'm just testing tiles out :) I will be making some better outdoor path tiles (at least to go around the neat inner tiles there)

Ah you see, I have the upperhand. The trick is, that I, unlike many of Graal's other tile/graphic artists, actually go outside and see trees on a daily basis. ;)

But it isn't THAT great. :p

Don't focus everything on tiles. Make the server and then focus on that.

Tilesets don't make a playerworld good, now I'm not saying Konidias's server will be crap, but he doesn't have a team, and that's the most important thing you need, he can't do the whole server by himself, like he says he can. ;)

Disagreed. konidias seems to be doing a wonderful job on his own, I've got no doubts that he can do it. A full staff isn't the most important thing, anyway, you could easily have a full staff but no progress. Sometimes one person teams work alot better.

1) A full staff isn't the most important thing, progress is. you can easily have a full staff with nothing actually being made.
2)Koniadias seems to be taking care of it very well. I've got no doubts that he can do this. Sometimes 1 man projects turn out best.

What are you talking about.

Konidias is doing FINE just by him self. Why do you want his tile set?

I can make graphics and levels well.. Check out my village area on 2k1, I don't think that's bad quality level making. (the town north of swamps)

I scripted several things for 2k1, and I have learned a lot more about scripting and online scripting while working on 2k1, through trial and error.

I probably can't do it all by myself, and I never intended on it. I will be looking for staff when I get the tileset done. Why are you telling me to focus on the server and other stuff but not the graphics? Having good graphics can't HURT the server. Plus, it's entirely hard to find someone that wants to help you with levels or scripting, when you have an ugly tileset.

It's hard finding staff anyway because 80% of the people that ask me, just want to get RC or just want a job to say they are staff on my server. 10% of the other people just want to be staff so I can show them new things for Oasis, and give them the tileset and stuff.

The other 5% are people that have excellent skills, but they don't seem to want to work full time on my server (most scripters aren't dedicated to one project for very long) the last 5% are the people I will hire, after I dig through all the others. :/

Heh, me and Viktor made Xone by ourselves. Get you a good co owner and go for it. You will find more dedicated workers once the server is up.

Post your tree please. I really would like to enjoy comparing the two.

You've seen plenty of my graphics, you don't have to be a amazing artist to realize if the perspective is off in a graphic idiot. I barely have anything on my computer now anyways because I recently reformatted. "logic is good, use loelz" :rolleyes:

You sure can't do it all by yourself in less than six months like you said you could, but you could probably do it by yourself if you knew how to do everything well. ;)

It's still only been like 2-3 months since I started..

There is no way in hell you can finish a playerworld with a ton of content, levels, and npcs withint 6 months by yourself. 3 months or not a pics1 is all you've shown us, just get a damn team and finish it please. :\

It isn't like I was complying to the silly deal anyway. I will be hiring people once I get to the point where I have stuff for them to work on. I have a few people helping with some graphics and stuff now.. just for sprites, different heads and hair styles, etc.

I still need to get the sprites and stuff finished for the characters.. I got the walking done, and pulling from the sides and stuff, and a lot of hand movements.. just gotta do swimming and hurt and others.

Maybe you should spend less time critisizing konidias and more time working on Faheria. Some tileset graphics of yours I've seen so far are looking pretty 'sad' themselves.
