Working at movie theaters is always good; moderately good pay, usually good hours, and you can theater hop if you're lucky and see movies for free. Hehe.

If you know what an Inn is, you'll probably figure out what the Hampton Inn is, and my friend is going to be manager at the movies so I can probably get a job there, I just gotta apply tomorrow.

I'm 15, I normally stay up till 1 or 2 in the morning. Insomnia.

No big deal what age you are as long as you don't stay up late doing stupid stuff.

Right now, I'm in my room, posting obviously and listening to music. I was going to sleep, but currently I have insomnia also :)

My ear is bleeding also :(

Well, there's a restaurant here with the name "Inn" in it, so I usually get a bit inquisitive...

I'd love to work at Wood Ranch. Such a great restaurant, and the one in Northridge(about 2-3 hours from me) pays something like 25 dollars an hour for waiters. Amazing place, it's so high class it blows my mind.

Ha ha. The worst I've done in work is lift about 1.3 tons over the course of a day. I was sore for two straight weeks after that, my shoulders hurt like hell.

nyghtGT 02-08-2002 02:24 PM

I kinda napped all day and night yesterday, so I should be up ... I'm listening to some beatles albums my grandma had ... looking for sublimital messages ...

Ahh, that sucks about the ear bleeding. I'm currently typing with my eyes closed, I open them to read the posts. It hurts with them open right now because the tear duct in my right eye is malfunctioning, so everything is all swollen and painful, especially when I blink, so I'm staying up late.

Plus, I have quadratic equations to finish.

I know what your talking bout, the other week we had inventory, and I had to take out so much stuff, then put it all back up, ugh, annoying !

Gahhh, yes.

My FIRST day on the job, they asked me to do inventory of both walk in freezers and the ice cream freezer.

I reorganized EVERYTHING, over 700 pounds of materials ranging from bags of ice to turkeys to buckets of ice cream. All organized by date of purchase, flavor(as far as ice cream goes), weight, type of the item, etc.

I got paid extra for that, though, because it helped them a lot a week later when they were late for an event and had to get stuff really fast.

Dear GOD they are NOT fun.

Quadratics can take me up to a half an hour per problem. I am extremely slow and cruddy in math.

Haha.

I have no bike or skateboard or anything. The last time I ever did physical fitness that involved "riding" something, I broke a bone, so I'm phobic.

I just walk to get exercise and have fun. If I need to get somewhere quick, I'll drive or be driven. Or take public transit.

how are you solving:

Completing The Square
Quadratic Forumal
Factoring

??

my arm is broken now but that dont stop me ...
cause almost anything you break can be fixed,
and it only hurts for the first 5-6 hours anyway ...

It's not that I have any trouble with the equations themselves; I know how to do it. It just takes me a very, very long time, because I do most of my math in my head, and I occasionally forget things or go off track.

Nah, I'm just a neat freak.

Given the opportunity, I will organize ANYTHING into something that is totally not what it originally was.

ohh, i dont like to use a calculator either, but my Algebra II

I've gotten accustomed to breaking bones or hurting myself severely.

Broken my left arm twice (Same place), fallen out of a two and a half story window, skidded on my bike on an oil patch and nearly cracked my skull down the middle, the list goes on...

I use a calculator when absolutely necessary. I can do lots of high end math in my head when I'm completely focused (One time, when in a class discussion, I calculated an insanely high square in my head in only a second or two. Heh.). Most of the time it's a slow process.

That's not quite it, actually, but I'll overlook that. Look at the method for completing the square and turn it, step by step, into a mathematical equation. Does the result look familiar?

JESUS!

The worst thing I have done is when I got 2 compund fractures
in my arm and had to get 4 steel pins and a metal plate in my
arm ... not fun, but i dont bike anymore, I straddled the frame once and as you can imagine it hurt like hell ...

Personally, I've escaped most forms of injury. Hairline fracture in an elbow once, that's pretty much it.

How would you describe the process of "doing" fractional exponents?
