Hey, I could have sworn they barred people under 13 from registering for Graal...you seem to be at least 8.

I have seen several sites that host old Graal clients...even seen some that have the source for old gservers...big deal.

Metal-Slug 01-06-2002 12:57 PM

lol, this zero guy, dont you see its like this, lets play a game, if you mess up, i take 27 dollars and you cant get it back, and because you signed up, you have to agree to this :) i said so i made the game, and second, i am not sure there was a 1.1

James 01-06-2002 12:57 PM

*Sigh* I agree with Beowulf, just reading this guys posts makes me feel stupid. Anyway, if you didn't know when you make an account you agree to a lot of things and one of them is that your account can be banned at any time, without a reason, basically like signing a contract. Stefan is not stealing your money, you are making invalid points. He can ban you if he wishes, so can any other graalonline or cyberjoueurs administrator. He may be taking your access away from Graal because you brought it upon yourself. And I'm sure you aren't even 13 years old.

See, he went to Google and typed in "Ways to waste your life," and besides horribly addictive drugs coming up in the search results, there was Graal. He bugged mommy and daddy for the new game he saw, and they signed it up for him. He somehow made his way to the forums and began splurting ignorance.

zerothonline 01-06-2002 01:01 PM

um, hello? how thick is your skull? You signed a license agreement that gives Graal Online or Cyberjouer the right to terminate your account at ANYTIME...what is so hard to understand about that?

err... im not agreeing with the idiot, zerothonline, but stealing people's money is illegal. If you pay for a game and if you are not satisified you can get your money back, no matter what the rules are (one exception is hacking, which is illegal aswell).

I want to see where it says this, link me to a site or something.

WoRlaNN2k 01-06-2002 01:35 PM

Its not written down anywhere, its just a plain fact. Just ask any other gamers that pay for games. They would know this.

Any competent gamers that subscribed an account, or hold one where it states in the user license agree ment "no refunds," or "graal online and cyberjourer hold the right to delete your account." Graal has both, so your statement is null here.

You sign a contract for them to provide a service to you. This is a privelage, not a right. If they do not disclose any terms to the early termination of a contract, then they are not liable to pay any sum of money.
Short and simple: The contract says they can do what they want when they want so they don't have to deal with idiots like you.

WoRlaNN2k 01-06-2002 01:54 PM

So... you are saying once you sign up they can instantly take away your service and your money? My, haven't you people been brainwashed. There is about, oh say 1 billion intelligent gamers that would back me up on this one.

It's not morally right. It's legally right SINCE YOU SIGNED A CONTRACT, GIVING THEM THE RIGHT. God, you're stupid.

WoRlaNN2k 01-06-2002 01:57 PM

its morally wrong and illegal at the same time stupid

Oh, I'm sorry. Do you have a law practice? Did you pass the bar exam? You don't seem to know much about law. Signing a contract means you agree to any terms therein, which means that since "Graal reserves the right to delete your account for any reason" that means they can do it. Try and prove me wrong. Just try; I really need a good laugh tonight.

No.

You signed a contract. You AGREED to SEVERAL clauses, one of which was "Your account can be terminated at any time by any member of Cyberjouer." Yes, that means, they can rip up the contract in a snap. They do NOT owe you anything. It might be morally wrong to take however much money, but it's not illegal.
