It's not pessimism. It's called "looking at something from all angles."

I'm pessemistic, because I don't think the "happy-happy joy-joy everything will work out perfectly" way?

If we did this, we'd all have to figue out how we'd host it all in a central location, we'd all share profits and costs, whos up?

*edit*
also, this is a propostition directed to people who have been playin graal for a while :)

Make money off Graal. Hahaha. I thought Stefan and Unix had to occasionally both go get jobs to support Graal? I highly doubt they are getting rich off of it. Hehe.

I'm sorry, man, but "Skool" is absolutely correct. Don't expect a corporate sponsor. If Graal Online isn't profitable enough for them to buy a license for themselves, what do you think will motivate them to finance a license for someone else?

Well, there are reasons, I guess. But I don't think they would expec anyone representing us would be more profitable than them.

As far as your own license, the most important thing is, the server could not succeed with "unlimited playerworlds." It's gotta be a one shot server or null. You'd have to make it fun, like Graal Classic, and get together only the most unquestionably superior NPC programmers. It's the only way, and, really, I think it's a long shot!

You have to look at it this way:

A liscence costs about 45K American (or Euro) either way, too damn much. Now suppose we all miraculously got the cash monies to buy a liscence we would have about 500 partners. If people did sign up for the game then we would probably all (as partners) make a couple bucks a year. Neato :(

If you guys do get enough money, put the server in Chicago :P Alot of people from Graal live there, and It's in the Central of the US. I live there, Lyndzey Lives there, Zach lives there, Er1c Lives there, and I bet theres more :P

I think we should find out exactly how much it costs and then argue. cus i can make quite a bit of money, ah the beauty of ebing Jewish. See when a jewish person dies, another jewish person over bar mizvah age, has to be with them constantly until they are buried, you sit there and say tehilim which are these prayers, i guess sleeping in a room with a coffin is kinda creepy but ill get used to it, anyway I can make like 200 dollars over one weekend....
this is how i plan to buy a ps2, xbox, and gamecuvbe by just doing this alot....
:) ive never had a game console before cus of money reasons and if i do htis I can, but anyway someone find out how much a license costs.

i find that sad :( thats very wrong and greedy

It sounds harsh but think of it this way,
having a funeral costs money,
everything costs money,
they dont expect people to watch dead people for free all the time,
i mean i would rather be with my family and friends over sabbath,
then sitting all alone with a dead person,
I mean if the family was poor and had no money I would do it for free, cus i would want the same for me, but if they have money, i might as well get paid, im taking time out of my life to do a job..

FatherDante 12-09-2001 11:04 PM

Nothing wrong with that. I wouldn't mind being paid for religious services. :)

So with my estimations,
If I do this for like 30 something weeks I might have enough money to buy the license,
but i have better stuffs to buy lol,
anyway maybe when i win the lottery I will buy out graal :)
