In responce to the above I highly doubt that...

SK is a good scripter and I will give him that. But by no standard is HE OR ANYONE the l33test scripter. EVERYONE has there good points and there bad points. Take me for example. I excell with anything having to do with manipulating images and stuff (see backpack npc and basket npc on Faheria) But as for NPC baddies? I still need work on that because mailny I never made a baddie in my time with Graal.

SK is good with some stuff but not with others. Same with Kaimetsu, TB3. Anyone and everyone has thier week points. Some have more than others. Its all a matter of concept. If SK is l33t in the baddie area he owns me there. But then again im good with everything else but Baddie manipulation (which i havnt really got around to useing. hehehe) In anysence I think NO ONE should be given the title of l33t Ubar scripter.

In conclusion you may believe what you want, SK can have NC RC FTP and Web access for All I care really. How much good he can do with thoes tools however lies with his ability. not his social stature.

And In another sence i present you WHY peoiple are referred to as leet and why they get jobs. Most of the time its not that thier good, its that they are well known...

We could have a professional Blizzard programer who made 90% of LoD and Diablo2 codes and goes buy the name of" Super Saiyan Goku Frieza {looking for a girlfriend}{GP Wannabe}" but you would never know. Never know however untill they make something for lets say g2k1 or something that has there name plastered all all over it.

You see its not about skill, it is a popularity contest. And that is life kids. however much sugar you put ontop of it..

^___^ Now if you will excuse me I need to return to my copmuter class.

I like how you frazed everything...

But for frolic I only have 1 nat (CybNext)... I hired him a while ago because he was pretty good and he would do work and he wasn't well known (nor busy)....

For me I try to look for people who are not well known and that are good because then they are not as busy and they can get more stuff done for you....

I told cyb he can hire someone if he wants (I am not hiring anyone any more its up to him and then he will ask me what I think if he thinks there good enough) and I also told him he can make whatever he wants...

if he doesn't want to make something I dont care really then if I really want it ill make it... I only tell him to make things if I am busy or if I dont feel like making it (and if he doesn't feel like making it then I am understanding)... I give him a lot of freedom and respect I beleve.

Supersonic...I'm gonna say this...You aren't that great, the scripts I have seen from you for Babylon all needed revisions, to even work at a decent level, please, get more opinions, before you get stuck on yourself

Torankusu 12-07-2001 04:29 AM

cybnext is an okay scripter.

Faheria_GP2 12-07-2001 07:52 AM

first of all

1. That's because damn lot of the babylon staff rush me, and I never get time to correct my bugs, and I just whip out the scripts like in, 15 minutes of work. I am very busy, mainly because I am nice enough to do volunteer work for anyone who asks, and they might not be the highest of quality, I am working on this stuff quite frequently, and babylon is not always my highest priority

2. I don't consider myself to be that good a scripter, and I just really don't care if you think Im the best in the world or a piece of garbage

3. I really was trying to avoid saying this, but, given SK's personality, I wouldn't trust him a damn bit...Sidra, which I have been working for the longest, has had both me and SK as NAT Chief, and by comparing us both, both owners agree that I am the better of the two, and I was also more cooperative, and trustworthy.

4. This is just my opinion, nothing more, nothing less, I am very honest about my opinions, and if they are wrong, so be it. But I just hope that you might take them into mind and give a meaningful reply

That is all for today,

Later!

I can script good for being a person who has the slowest comp in Graal (Windows 95, 200 mghz). Well speed doesn't matter but it slows me down alot when I am in a breakthrough of making a great script. But other than that I am lazy in making scripts. Thats why most people take long to make scripts. And I learned by myself and I don't see how it's hard to understand to noobs.

Thank You, Toran.

But, you haven't exactly seen many of my lastest scripts. The ones you probably saw were from my past at Dino Valley, which I regret ever working there. I have improved greatly from then. I made a pretty nice snow script for Frolic last night in about 10-15 minutes. It will warp through levels and you can set how many flakes in one level.

And on a whole different issue, when I came to Frolic, I wasn't busy at all, but once I got hired on Frolic as NPC Admin, a lot of server owners started to come to me, and I agreed to help them out if they need help. I don't really mind helping others out.

I really like working for Frolic only because KJL and SLP don't push me to get a script done quickly. They both respect my decisions and I believe they both understand that if you work on a script for too long, you can get extremely bored.

I beleve you have learned a lot about scripting compaired to what you usto know... Like when you sent me in the nat tests I was kind of iffy but now I am glade I hired you. Really glade.

See on frolic we try to take our time and not push people in doing stuff... I mean because sometimes you get board as cyb said. And sometimes you just dont feel like doing it or your doing other things... And other times your just hanging out with your friends...

for me I only do stuff on graal during the nights usually (sometimes its just going on it, others its scripting, ect)... It all depends on what I feel like doing...
