Could work it in a way similar to what happens when you decide you want to change gods, you'd incur penalties in relevant experience area's and have to earn those levels back if you want them. No consequences would lead to people just being every class as it is like now, and I'm not positive GK is ready for a system of multiple characters belonging to 1 account since the hoarding + item attainability problems are still out of control.

Well the "if" is simply because I believe that all the classes are done in C++. That is the only reason for the big IF.

-Definitely more quests. I saw on page 1 that this is all ready being done.

-Less grindy. Skills should definitely have many ways of raising them. I always resented how the only efficient way of getting a high wisdom was to just spend hours making dov or dopv, w/e it was.

-More lore-friendly. What happened to the faeries and dwarves and such that we read about in the lore books?
-More weapons available to average players. It's always been a big issue for me how 1% of the population (.. so 1 person basically) has most of the extremely rare items and can make hundreds of USD just because he either used USD himself, or has played for years and hoarded items. This issue has been partially fixed with the new tigbot, but i definitely believe that new ways of getting weapons, as well as a server-wide reset, should be issued.

-more fun , rewarding jobs. Currently fishing is only good for a bit of food, mining only if you're building a house, etc. I saw on the first page that this was all being revamped, but it's definitely something to be carefully looked into and revamped.

I know a lot of these points (if not all) has been brought up already, but they are just what i feel needs to be done for the future of GK. There are some obvious ones like more staff, classic, etc., but those are all ready being planned for :p

It was DoV (visibility) and that was for Mental EXP not Wisdom. DoPV was the recipe for dust that you sold for insane money. I am probably the #1 supporting fan for more questing. Things like Crypt, and Holiday Dungeons IMO are not quests. Usually with quests it progresses the storyline. EX: you obtain new items that you can use to aquire even more new items. (ex: a quest for coper mineral, to make a copy version of that item instead of iron) ect.

Make shopping (spawning scrolls) easier. Make an option where you can sell all your scrolls at one, without having to sell them singlewise. That takes faar too long and is really annoying. That'd revamp shops a bit more. Maybe also invite, that it is possible to buy all scrolls at one spot at once (like 7x scroll of identify with 1 click or something). :)

Correct me if I am wrong but didn't Cris say he had made a system like that on Debug? I have yet to see it tho. But multi-item selling would be sweet. I don't know that it is possible the way we would wan't it tho. I think I remember tig saying something about it making it harder to recover items. It's been a while so I might be remembering wrong?

Yes. Drop your bag on the NPC to sell everything inside of the bag (With a confirmation window, in case you do it by accident).

But then, you would have to put everything again in your bag, what you spawned, so its the same work tbh. It is a bit annoying to sell stuff but if you are lazy even for that, well then u shouldnt play GK at all.

It's convenient for selling monster parts, collected during levelling, Or grind-shopping, etc.

what kind of mentality is that? wtf

Tashkin 02-28-2013 09:49 PM

Having a way to sell multiple things at once would be nice I must agree.

Buy stuff with your bag open and only remove what you want to keep?

I don't know about you, but for me everything I buy/pickup that I want to sell is already in a bag ready to be sold. I take out the things I want, so it's easier not harder.

Yes. I could never get Tig to transfer it to main, not really sure why. It was only a few lines of code that he could easily have reviewed to ensure no bugs existed.

If I remember correctly there was an issue with logging the inside of bags, thats why it is not transferred yet. Tig said he would look into it soon though.

NicoX 03-05-2013 11:11 PM

Alright,

so here is a List of stuff which is being worked on.

  • Kingdom RP Boosts (each Kingdom Leader can purchase a RP Boost with the earned RessourcePoints)
  • new Day/Night system. Monsters on the overworld are changing at night.
  • Lord revamp (new spawn points of Lords. They will also become more powerfull)
  • Increasing spawn rates of several shop items
  • Stat revamps of almost all armours. Also making most of them craftable or obtainable through dungeons/crypt etc.
  • 1 new Dungeon
  • 2 new Events

If you want to help, you can contact Tashkin of myself on Graal Kingdoms or via Forum PM.

See you on GK

Tashkin 03-06-2013 12:04 AM

We would still like to hear you ideas for future additions to Graal Kingdoms. So continue posting them here.

xXKajalXx 03-06-2013 08:41 AM

Are you increasing EA/IWD rate aswell?

Andre2006 03-06-2013 10:11 AM

If EAs/IWDs are going to continue being in the game, I'd want them to stay fairly hard to get. They were changed at the worst time, and everyone already had +12 on everything except players just starting out.

biggiant 03-06-2013 02:56 PM

might come back to graal if i see these updates, although i wish shields could be retouched cause thats a real problem

Like I mentioned earlier, almost all amours (which is including shields) will become a revamp of their stats.

I would say about 90-98% of the armor on GK will have completely new stats. I made a list of of all the armor on GK and it should be completed by the end of the week. Once it is finished we will be able to make the changes on the server.

StormYs 03-06-2013 03:47 PM

I never rly understood the idea of decreasing the spawn rate of IWD's...why??

Will you tell us, which items will be affected, once you finished this list? And will you tell us afterwards, which new stats these items will have? :)

biggiant 03-07-2013 02:35 PM

ITS MY UNDERSTANDING THAT the general thought process was that AC/WC were ridiculous stats. (Which they are.)

And that 'weapon prepping' made unique weapons useless. (Which is true)

Which is fun because while making them impossible to come by, they didn't reset the existing enchanted armor/weapons. (I agreed with removing EAs/IWDs BUT only if you REMOOOVEE them)

Need an admin that is good at GK.

I don't see the harm in IWD's, in fact IWD's will let you kill ppl faster in pvp. Which atm is a pain in the ass to do (even with a full prepped sword).

I agree, AC/WC stats shouldn't exist.

BigBear3 03-08-2013 02:15 AM

I didn't say it made sense. I'm just remembering conversations I've had.

If you have suggestions to make things better on GK and more enjoyable, just contact Tashkin or myself, or Post it here.
And yes we know GK needs to go Classic, come up with something else :)

Thank you.

Random drops that aren't useless? See Diablo 2 (pre LoD)

Oh, look an unidentified flaming sword. (of derp) o *drops

All Pat nonsense bullshit douchebaggery aside. I think it would be a tremendous idea and very do-able on GK to have a drop system like that. Of course, we will still have our rares, uniques, etc.

no

vanilla d2 had a seriously shitty item system
lod brought interesting items both with the addition of runes and fun uniques. d3 essentially has the same item system as vanilla d2 and that **** is dum

tho i agree that gk could really work with some randomization on items. it's very difficult to pull off though from a balance pov
