Everything Rogue listed is exactly why I gave up on gangs and focused on businesses and events.

It's the one issue that needs to be at the top of your list. Gangs.

If we ever released something truly game changing, everyone would complain. We all saw what happened when I changed the gun stats...

Working on it, it's really not that simple.. I've been shuffling leaders and making 'new' gangs. But it's the playerbase's attitude more-so than anything we can do. It's not like it used to be where we'd raid all day just for the sake of raiding and competing with each other.

Now there's all these incentives: points, money for kills, rewards for top points, tons of guns to unlock, even more money for point exchange.. the bases are how people *****ed and wanted them... even updated with anti-run & new doors & new captures, the guns are back at .05, the healing is superior and more balanced than ever, you can get up to 150hp and always be at max speed. Yet people simply dont want to raid.

We got activity up, everyone's forced to be on their gangtag. Yesterday with 70~ people online; exactly 50% were active gang members: BV had 15, BH had 9, TS had 5, and BB had 6 (Wil fired 2 of them for not participating, so 4). Yet they legitimately refused to raid or fight us (15v4), I even tried to do some prizeless mini-gang events and BV only agreed to one after Wil logged off.

I thought it was just them being lazy, so we purposefully spoon fed them a raid by hosting BH PK, yet still only 4-5 of them joined and the rest sat at the casino/unstick (a very small margin were actually 'afk'). And not a single one returned to the base after the warp ended.

I'd love to hear some ideas. You guys love to talk about it, but never participate yourselves. (Anfo, you recently lost gang leadership because you yourself never participated?)

I don't get it, what would make you guys want to participate?:confused:

Get rid of events completely.
Especially ULMS.

Incorporate the things that people like about events into the normal server gameplay.

Back when events were very rarely hosted people created their own fun.

The new mall stands is a great feature. gives more players an opportunity to use them

suppose to be ready? Lol no ones been working on it since the creator (2 years ago) dropped the project. I don't think this is a good idea anyway.

bloodykiller 01-03-2013 10:30 PM

how is it not a good idea?

I don't really know much about gang events but Rogue and everyone else qt says they flop all the time due to shitty participation and shittier players.

How would automating them and making them more frequent change dat? IMO, that would just make them less special, and less participated in, and blahh.
Unless you're suggesting they replace the hosted, once a week events. But even then..why do that? It'll just lead to tons of gameplay issues and bugs and **** that can't be handled by an overseeing ET, since they're not hosting it.
