Customly made, they charge alot more though, and for ordering all the special materials and stuff? Not sure, I might inform myself a little about that at a really good known goldsmith

i like a good 6b - 8b for the really dark colors, i use it when coloring the pupil of the eyes. Makes the light parts stand out better.

***** I know, I have been eyeing it greedily for like 3 years now. Why I haven't gotten it yet is a mystery.

Personally I'd prefer having a cap that fits nicely over a longer version with no cap. But to each his own, it's very nice.

I really like the ridiculously unassuming style of the short version. It honestly just looks like a pen-shaped piece of metal. The long ones seem more recognizable as functional pens, even at a glance. Which makes them way less cool.

It's leaving behind residue(I'm assuming from what I read). Typically that's what you erase, the only question is if typical erasers(or even kneaded) would be able to pull it from the paper.

Based on some brief reading I did before purchasing it, no. I figure it's the perfect marker to carry with you - put it in your pocket, never worry about it going dead.

Mafukie 04-23-2010 03:21 AM

I can understand Elk wanting to purchase this. Best thing to do with said purchase is to be able to hold and write with it before doing so. Cars are 15k plus, we are more-so looking at xboxs and ps3s as a comparison. Which is more justifiable -- spend 300+ all the games for a gaming system you will only use for 2or3 years or have a tool you use all the time and make money using it for a "lifetime"? Plus i'm sure resale value is pretty good on well kept mechanical pencils if you grow out of it.
