There are no screenshots or impressive updates. The entire staff team is completely swamped with either work or school. There's not a lot we can get done, and when we get time, there are more important things to do than Halloween updates.

However, assuming the graphics are ready, we should have some prizes ready in the next few days.

And no, Era doesn't have a "dedicated" staff team. Hopefully no one will take that out of context (shame on anyone who does). In order for Era to have a dedicated staff team, we'd have to quit school/jobs and work on Era as if we were getting paid. Life is more important. There's a shortage of decent developers everywhere on Graal, ask any server manager. We're not going to lower our standards and start hiring people who can't develop well.

This is true and it especially sucks now that people can't really learn to script offline. And in order to learn to script online they need to pay for a developer package. The developer shortage is probably only going to get worse.

Greed kind of put the nail and Graal's coffin there. It was bad enough when they expected developers to make all of Graal's content for free, but now they want us to pay them to make content for them? It's not surprising that I can remember there regularly being about 200 players on each of the popular servers a few years ago, and now Graal's average playercount for the last year is less than 250.

So lets stop pretending you guys are trying to fix Era's Economy, add new stuff, new weapons etc etc, and start realising nothings going to happen until atleast 2012 when Erav2 is released (If graal is still around then).

Crow and Arch_Angel only have access to the dev server. Which is why you don't see them, but Crow has been online pretty much daily.

We also have Relic on the LAT team, and Amsel on the Gani team (but he's kind of busy). There's not a huge demand for ganis right now, though.

It's pointless to duplicate work because pretty much anything made for one server will have to be remade for the other. We'll release things as they are completed on the dev server to the main server if possible, however, most of it cannot be moved without downtime or a reset. For a long time, there's always been that promise of "New Era" by staff teams, and it has been cried about by players for even longer. However, I think we're the first staff team who has finally taken "New Era" seriously. Instead of just talking about it and goofing around on RC, we're actually doing it. I spoke with Chris about compiling a list of everything that is completed, and being worked on, so that we can maybe share that with you.

I don't like that you're making it sound as if the main server has been completely neglected -- I'm almost positive that even though we're focusing on Era Dev, there's been more updates on it now than with previous administrations (the hotel, support center, public bounty system, ingame uploading, spar leaderboards/ranking, pawn shop, and we even managed a little something for halloween).

I remember when I played, we didn't see any updates for months at a time...and when we did, it was something that only benefited a few people (eg releasing a new gang, a few "rare" guns, or auctioning off some new business). Everything I've done has been looking out for the server as a whole.

There's been small updates to keep current Era at least slightly interesting to players while they're still working on Era Dev.

When creating these things, you should ask youself, will I use my own system. If the answer is no then other people probably wont use it, if the answer is yes then you made a kick ass system, or you severely ****ed up.
