Smu for manager!

Era's code name was originally Dolphonia 2. Know your history.

Nah, I left Dolphonia once I found out I can turn my dev abilities to real life and make thousands of dollars a month extra doing so.

Seriously, anybody doing anything of worth for Graal is an idiot. Either they think they have too much money (which is funny) or they don't know that there are a lot of firms out there looking for freelance developers that pay good money for work.

Good at gfx? Do freelance graphics or get a job at a firm that is looking for graphics artists. Hey, I myself am looking to pay freelance graphics artists for web work.

Good at tiles? That's a form of art. Also, Blizzard was looking for levels designers, as a full-time job, last I checked.

Good at scripting? Lots of opportunity for you. Many businesses want to be incorporated into the e-commerce scene and there simply is not enough of you. I find myself training siblings and friends so I can hire them so I can contract my work out to them because I simply have too much free-lance work just for myself.

Really. Doing Graal dev is a complete waste of time. You could be doing more professional projects, making lots of money doing so. Sure, doing pro-bono work is honourable, but is GraalOnline really the most needy and selfless organization?

The smartest thing I have ever heard come out of this board. Although I disagree on one thing. True there is much better things to do with your skill in the real world but graal devlopment is a hobbie and something you do to enjoy. Now the people that spend hours and hours doing it getting fustrated and **** need some help.

Shaun 07-24-2006 12:02 AM

Exactly. I still come on Graal to do like maybe a level here and there, but I don't put off other things to do Graal dev. That's just silly.

Graal is what I do in my free time when I have nothing else I could be doing.

I knew that thats why I said if it was so good why arnt we playing the first one? Second for someone who thinks Graal basically sucks your on the boards often.

Shaun 07-25-2006 08:50 AM

The first one was hacked by Ghost_Hacker. Graal's ineffective system for file management at the time was even more ineffective as it is now.

As for your second point (and thanks for pointing out it second comes after first for me), you may notice that I have a lot of periods of 5/10 minutes here and there, as if they are cushioned by actual activities. What exactly is your point though?

Wrong thread, Captain Crunch.

If you think something sucks as much as you said in your other post you usually dont go on its boards.

Shaun, I swear to god I saw a double post you made in this thread. The second one had nothing to do with the topic at all and now it's gone and I look like an idiot after saying "Wrong thread, Captain Crunch."

GG.

Players? What about them? The way you grouped them, I could say:

Texans/New Yorkers/Americans.

Do you see my point? Those aren't really accurate comparisons.

Unless you're talking about non-dev players, but then that would be completely off topic. Although to be fair, I've pretty much derailed this and gone off topic myself.

EDIT:

Oh, and I don't double post.
