Eh,or there should be a folder for every server. Maybe that'd work

slambsketbll 05-10-2007 03:07 PM

what is that about?

Check the date when this thread was made before posting, mostly those threads are not applicable anymore.

Then if I may ask, WHY is it stickied?

It is stickied because it still applies, and is important. I believe Sam's statement was in general, and for future reference about old threads.

This thread is for server owners, and it's staff. If you are neither, or if you never have been, then you might not understand.
Basically, it is about a problem with people uploading graphics and such using the same names as other playerworlds, thus over writing those files, and causing problems with people seeing the correct graphics on playerworlds.

Graal's files now save in appropriate folders assuming you use serverinitials_FILE-NAME-HERE.EXTENSION

Or cool people just use graphic download packs to save the files to the folders they want :)

Assuming one would love to type 500+ images. Would be cool if you just can do.
FOLDER levels/images/*.png

and it would force download of all pngs.

For reference. :)

for the record, you may NOT ask >:{

Yes, but it's not like you're bumping a a thread from nowhere, so I don't see anything detrimental about it.
Anyways, I still say each playerworld should get their own thread, and not have folders created by underscores. Ya, files will get downloaded more than once, but face it, Graal isn't really organized as is, and things are already getting duplicated via the current folder layout. There are so many dumb folder names because of underscores now that it's ridiculous, and there's only like one image or so per folder. It would also make looking for images a bit easier.

So you're trying to say "Go ahead, steal content?" Because that is what I got out of this, "rename files to so and so name." Thats just a hypothetical "Go here, take this, leave that," kind of statement. Might want to define it better.

I highly doubt that was being endorsed, so in the interest of common sense, why on earth did you revive this thread from between 2005-2007 to ask that?

DuBsTeRmAn 12-21-2009 02:20 PM

Maybe he didn't realize it was so old?

Newsflash: It's sticked. You can't revive sticked threads as they're always at the top.
