You should also add some hand to hand material? I mean, not a lot of us will be like "OMFG GUNS" we want to do 1337 sword combos etc like in Final Fight.

:o I'll talk to you later, I'd help if you wanted me to.

That's where ninjas come into play! You can throw shurikens and kunais at guys and have some special technique where you are invisible for a limited amount of time, go behind a guy, and snap his neck..or something.

Look, I've posted this in other topics before, if you are going to make a side-scroller, dont use engine like Graal. There are plenty of other, better development tools out there that aren't Graal, which you could do more. Take my advice, just use a engine thats dedicated to side-scrollers, your "sever" will come out better.

Right. By developing this for Graal we push the envelope.
We set a higher standard and, hopefully, others will strive
to reach that standard and thus create better worlds for us
players to play in.

Update:
Currently the developers are as follows:
Me.
Cardigan (a graphic making friend of mine that I got to help out.)
Soul Blade (And he says: "SA is NOT dead. I'm just taking a break.")
ThinkDifferent.
Gryffon.

KEEP POSTING!
Since Crono posted that he wanted combos,
we are developing combos.

Other up and coming features include:
Wall jumping (Jump from wall to wall and such.)
Cliff hanging. (Hang on ledges. Press a key to climb up,
drop down, or jump off.)
Enemy AI.
Tweaking the movement system. (Already done, but will
be tweaked to perfect gameplay.)

More to come as things develop.

Et moi? Oui. Ca va. C'est une bonne idee!

your restriced to a 64*16 pixel wide area. and most side scrollers are longer than that. i know you can add gmaps and such, but loading every few seconds between each level would get super annoying. Maverick. is right, There are better engines to use.

Hi. Gmaps remove that problem.

Crono 08-18-2004 11:25 AM

Yeah, GMAPS make it so that the whole map is loaded as one level so no more loading between each level. And it shouldnt be that hard to make a nice side scroller if you have the right GFX and have everything as one perspective.

I assume he's talking about Joker being a server staff hopper. We've all done it. I know I did.

Please try to keep things on topic.

Update:
Wall jumping has been completed.
The aiming/weapon systems are being worked on now.
