Eric doesn't like the over-all design. He also hates things in the dark to try and hide your level. Your suppose to show your detailed level, not blind it in darkness and show some lights coming off it.

Nice, but make it less darker. n_n

dorfindel 06-07-2003 02:31 PM

-1 cuz first one is WAY too dark, and the second one looks funny for some reason.

-1 because the grass is boring

-1 because when you used the path editor you didn't even do it well...I mean come on when you use that thing you have to make the stuff around it really nice :o .

-1 because of those lights...i hate those weird square ones, light does NOT look like that

but the house design is general is really nice. however, if you're going to use those roof tiles that much, make the top corner tiles w/ black edges...it's not hard make a graphic. otherwise it looks really bad.

so yeah 6/10.

RedWizard(Scarab?or someting) You should post a level with no...NO darkness lights. What would you need a house that big for anyways?

City Manor

Its very creative but you emphasize too much on the same light npcs and too many of them. Try something new like this: lighten up the area a little more not too much i think alot of people just have their screen brightness down, script the npc lights so that only one of them is on at a time and when one goes off a few random seconds later another one comes on to show that someone might be moving around in the house ;) or have them all turn on and off randomly every few minutes to show that there are people in the house. Thats just a suggestion. Also it seems a few lights were randomly placed remove some of them too many bubble lights around. Fix the choppy grass to dirt tiles they are generated so you need to fiddle around with them to make them look a little better.

I don't know about any one else, but if a level is good I will say so regardless about how I feel towards them. The only thing I might bash is poor level making and even then its normally only after they blatantly ignore the advice people give to him/her to improve the quality of the levels. If its a good level I'll state as much, if not then I'll suggest a few things to improve it. I would think most people here wouldnt bash some one just because of personal feelings. At least not the truly experienced level makers. I care about the tiles not the person placing them in the level.

Redwizard 06-15-2003 05:46 PM

lol

yeah i dont care how much ya bash me up cos its just a level at the end of the day, but with gfx it matters more to me, lol
