Radients are circles. In my opinion i think thy are a more realistic movement then just 4 directions.
Well, anyways THAT shoot command doesn't use true radients... i dunno how stefan has it set up but there not real radients. I think he should make those radients match true radients.

archaonTCN 08-19-2002 03:39 PM

I find radians impractical; using pi is annoying because there is no set value for it.

prozac424242 08-19-2002 07:02 PM

pi !

what do you get when you
divide the circumfrence of an apple
by its radius?

apple pi!

hahaha I R B FUNNY!!

omg i am such an experienced NOOB!

Spectre1337 08-19-2002 11:39 PM

Why doesnt Stefan just make an easy command like..

lightcircle=true;

Then it circles without the trouble.. Us bad scriptars
would have lots of fun with that:(

if you can't figure out something like sin/cos just don't script...much easier on your mind and the sanity on those you beg to 'help' you

Yes there is - we just don't/can't know it. In any case, there would be no measurable difference between cos(3.1415926535897932384626433832795) and cos(full_value_of_pi). And even if there were, it's irrelevant; there's an infinite amount of irrational numbers that could be used with degrees too. Besides, radians are a far more logical system of measurement, mathematically speaking. And we all hopefully know how much maths there is in scripting.

Reason upon reason why radians aren't at all inferior to degrees.

SO cos means pi??? omg and cosinus too?
I've been banging my head on the desk cuz I couldnt find what cos meant... All that english math is just too much confusing.

Spectre1337 08-20-2002 09:54 AM

Jeez Jagen, I want to learn to script. Just because
I dont know a command or two doesnt mean I
should quit trying.. You could help me :(

no, cos and sin are more of functions to use when dealing with angles, go to www.math.com to learn how to use it outside of graal script if you are interested

TLG_WL_mechman 08-20-2002 10:05 AM

Hell yes I wanna learn,... if its gonna help me scripting?

"As far as the simple stuff you'll do in Graal is concerned" is that an insult? lol

"As far as the simple stuff you'll do in Graal is concerned, sin and cos are for taking angles and turning them into x/y vectors." You mean you could make some super duper thing with sin and cos besides turning angles to x/y (or even z) vectors?

And btw... your sig is showing as a red X.

TLG_WL_mechman 08-23-2002 12:15 AM

I know its off topic but I could host your sig;
I got access to mystical marlee's old site's ftp,

IAMNOTAFREAK 08-23-2002 07:32 AM

up (pi/2)
left (pi) right (2pi)
down (3pi/2)

radians are fun :D
let me confuse you more, 60 minutes = 1 degree and 3600 seconds does also...
so, 245.5 degrees can be written as 245 degrees and 30 minutes
aren't trigonometry and calculus joyous? :D

screen_name 08-24-2002 01:21 AM

X.x
I wish I could see light effects.

Thript 08-24-2002 01:37 AM

Why don't you turn them on =\?
