I was once told I that games do in fact mest up your computer. Here is one simple example....Your playing a game and because the programmers didn't program it right, there is a bug that freezers your computer and you have to restart it the wrong way. B00M, lost of files and your comp. gets all screwy because of lost files.

For instance: My mom uses Outlook for email and the spell check wasn't working so she told me to come here and she goes "spell check isn't working.. its probably b/c of that game you play all the time" Im like what?!" and so on.

My question is do your parents blame the computer problems on Graal?

Unfortunately, yes. That is why I do not play Graal anymore.

1.) Jedi Outcast
2.) I'm so ****ing tired of the *****ing that it's not funny.

The computer froze. "Probably that Graal game you play."

Whenever my computer crashes-

Wait, it never crashes.

When my DAD'S computer crashes, he blames it on me.

Although I've never touched the thing in years.

haha, games won't seriously **** up your computer.

I have not once, in all my years of computer use, had a program that messed up my computer badly, and I've been using computers since I was like 10 years old. (nearly 9 years)

My computer is in my room, I have a nice corner desk (one of the good corner computer desk kinds) No one ever uses it but me, except when my niece comes in and messes around with my mouse. :p

My mom hates computers, and my sister got skipped in the gene pool when it came to technology, so my computer is all mine. :D I feel sorry for the people out there that don't have computers in their rooms, don't have a lock on their bedroom door, or have to share a room with a sibling. I doubt I could get anything done on my computer if it wasn't in my room.

My brother and I complain that our computer is to friggin slow, due to a whole 400 mhz processor speed, and all my dad says is, "Delete some things from the hard drive, then it will go faster"
That has some merit to it, but even when we reformatted it went slow.. X_x

I erased AOL off of my computer and it(the computer) hasn't screwed up with graal yet. My parents' computer on the other hand, has AOL on it, and the graal runs horribly. The AOL is not the internet connection, it's just on the computer.

The only thing they usually do is just eat RAM up. :)
It's nothing a quick restart won't fix.

My parents blame games on the internet connection. I don't know if they're horribly non-techno people or what, but if it won't connect, the problem was Graal.

Graal uses gfx cards and sound card a lot so if the drivers are bad they can freeze the computer or crash windows, but normally they don't do bad stuff other than that you need to reboot.

Programs like Real Player, instant messangers, file sharing programs etc. actually change the configuration of the machine and can really mess up things (I remember Go!zilla adding dns routing entries to the config).

Cid_Night 07-01-2002 04:22 AM

my parents blame everything on graal..."the garden hose has a hole, must be graal!" or "what! the tv is getting bad reception, must be taht damn graal again!"

I tried using Go!Zilla, and it was good for a big download, but I can't even get it to download smaller files. It just makes weirder connections other than the usual port 80 for the internet and screws my computer up. :grrr:

Real Player always freeze for me... Most file-sharing programs have spyware in it, anyway.

Cookies on some sites even have some spyware in it... I downloaded Ad-aware the other day, and I use it about every day. I just used it 15 minutes ago and 4 cookies had some type of weird programming it it; All 4 being advertisments.

Heh, I get to use my own computer, so my parents nor my brother complain about Graal screwing up the computer... As for me, no problems yet, but I do sometimes have major lag problems in the market place.

VampiricTutorNewHD 07-01-2002 05:25 AM

I took off AOL just a second ago. I'm waiting to see if there any changes.

Hyped 07-01-2002 05:51 AM
