It is possible to link to other servers....

Kasuagi 12-06-2001 11:08 PM

that would be cool Tyhm. an ultimate quest! you could find all the missing graal relics and bring them to a certain person on one of the servers? the time keeper, yes. they give you something cool?

this is actually a bad idea. it would require the cooperation of all server owners. some of them don't eve come on their server to interact anymore. it's a shame, really.

hmm this sounds kind of a good idea all the servers being connected to each other:rolleyes: it could probably work ..........

We need 2 different planets or worlds. The Bomy one and the Human one. Both are different. The Bomy world could be futuristic or something. You could have lots of space stuff and future stuff that wouldn't fit into the present Graal theme! Back on old present time Graal, you'll still have your dragons, swords, and other medievil things. You get the both of best worlds. Bomy players would start on the Bomy planet and the Humans the Human planet. Instead of Kingdom's, the Bomy planet could have Colonies. Colony Qu and so on! Just think of the possibilities...

I just don't think that Graal has a focused theme. I mean, come on. You've got Farming and then Go-Karts. Dragons and Aliens! Just doesn't go together. Unrealistic, but the interaction and creativity is what I love about Graal!

You could pay 1000g for a Universal Pass. You could travel through different parallel dimensions. Such as the Bomy planet. Heh, the Bomies would have to do the same. Use 'Worm Holes' or something. They don't stay stationary and you have to track them down with a, dun dun dun; Distorter! A tool that detects and predicts when the next dimensional time rip will occur. You find it and it will teleport you to a random parallel world. I got the idea from the movie, 'The One'. Anyways, this is my idea. Hope you like it!

I just want to see something new. Medievil Graal is getting old. Someone make a space server or something. Isn't Captain Ghost Pirate making one?

Eh, skip that, just add a space PW. ;p I've got some ideas, but it'd really work well if we could have Stefan's help and he make a few updates to the client for it.

Nah, it'll work. Every server sets their own global.flag - like classic will set global.Classic, G2K1 will set global.NewMain - and then it'll only matter on servers that care about it, see. If the owner of Providence is asleep at the wheel, you won't get anything there for having completed Classic; likewise global.Providence won't mean jack on Classic. It'll be a network of only vaguely linked servers that slowly grows at the server owners' discretion.

Yes a space playerworld would be cool,
like future valikorlia, but I think they stopped it.
It should have futuristic tiles, you can travel
from planet to planet (space can be black levels
where you move with your spaceship :) )
and have futuristic weapons, strange aliens :-)

Andor_Admin2 12-15-2001 05:12 AM

LoL

That would be cool, but I think it would be better to have like 1 Space Station like on Star Trek:Deep Space Nine. And have different Races, and jobs on the Space Station. ^_^

Kasuagi 12-17-2001 08:58 AM

hehe, yes it would be great! but we need the your cooperation stefan. who knows? maybe more people would subscribe if there was futuristic stuff, not everyone likes medievil settings and servers. just add variety to your game and people will come rolling in

why? i get tired of the same old medievil graal! i want to use plasma blades, and laser rifles, and so on =P

mastervampire 12-18-2001 11:27 AM

Graal was meant to be medieval

on another note, the quest spanning every server isn't really that great of an idea, sure server hopping would be wonderful, but some servers might not want to participate, think of this.... the players of a pure PK server warping over to a pure RPG server and wreaking havok looking for that quest item. Pretty scary if you ask me.:megaeek: the server jumping should definately be an optional thing.

Juron Pilo 12-18-2001 11:43 PM

DOWN WITH THE NEW QUESTS UP WITH IMPROVING THE OLD QUESTS!

Kasuagi 12-19-2001 10:29 PM

all i'm saying is that graal needs something new and different. if i seen another stupid dragon baddy or sword i'll croak!

anyways, stefan said he liked the idea

Xaviar 12-20-2001 12:15 AM

*shudder* I think that would be terrible, I'd hate to suddonly have a bunch of people from some other server suddonly come over and overrun Babylon...I can think of a couple uses, but it definately has to be regulated, if anyone even thinks about this, especially because that can ruin an rpg playerworld, plus then it gets harder to disipline people "What? I didn't know the rules here were different..." and for some ideas, (like one I won't go into right now), this could destroy it...Definately a bad idea
