I feel that's part of what happened to kill raiding. You can die and come back faster than you can heal and come back to the base. Making it impossible to hold a base if anyone takes any amount of damage.

A new item system wouldn't really have to be created but this is way more complicated then you think. Each food item would have to be unique, so that it has its own expiration date depending on when you purchased it.

Although its a great idea.

Yeah i assumed it would be a tricky one to do. This would be a fix though but sadly to big of a project for current scripters.
