Really hard decision really.
Theres really two kinds of managers.
The work horse and the social political manager.
Good example of a work horse manager would of been Tim, he constantly worked on projects on his own and was very seldom wrapped into any real social or political problems. Which might not seem like a problem.... but it was.
Zach would probably be the opposite of Tim. Zach was more management in the sense he was social and assigned jobs and followed his team closer. Yet didn't really work on any dev work on his own.
I honestly can't think of any manager who balanced Dev work and Social work out. Maybe Smu, but he started USDing so he pretty much auto loses this.
