I really don't see a point in such a chat room

Geno 01-29-2012 01:47 AM

i think there is an IRC graal channel. and we also have the forums. so :o

Emera,

I think you would be better off using your scripting abilities to help other servers instead of creating a bunch of tiny UC servers.

Decus_Arillias 02-01-2012 04:35 AM

Make it for groups or guilds on graal. Would be cool to have it voice enabled and use it like vent. Give it more then just a chat feature maybe...

What would really be amazing is to script a in-game guild / party chat window. If its possible to tie in the graal mic and stuff into a guild channel.
Just a idear.

Graal dev team irc is still up... and it's a bit creepy that the same people are always there.

Just like the forums.

No offence Emera, but you always try to re-invent the wheel. The wheel has been here and it works fine. You either haven't A) searched the forums to see if your "new ideas" have already been made or B) been playing long enough to understand that people don't care much about re-introductions of old ideas. lol

Why isn't it publicized more?

only for top-notch developers.

The idea seems rather nice but as others said there is already an IRC that nobody really uses. So maybe try adding some sort of mini-games people could play while chatting or something along those lines.

Re-inventing the wheel is a good thing for developers trying to hone their skills. Here's why:

- Gives them a good chance to practice.
- They have a completed model so they know what they're working towards.
- They know what they're doing is possible because it's already been done.
- Usually it's easy to find support if you get stuck.
- Sometimes improvements can be made to "the wheel" that didn't exist prior to them "re-inventing" it.

I'm gonna do something oddly, that I haven't done for you before Tig.
