Zone gained a new form recently.

Gelat shop for temp items, and USD for perm items from other people.

-edit- Lol more fail rep.

i do agree i know i play games like lord of the rings online you have unlimted world
but they do have a store where you can buy stuff and they make a killing

They have a playerbase (presumably).

GK is in no way suited, at this moment in time, for a gelat-items shop. And is a very long way from that. Be that as it may, since more content will seemingly never be released, and a major issue is still the availability (lack-off) of items, making items available via gelats (renting) and the event coin shop (seriously.. this has been an easy and credible mid-term solution for so long) would be a welcomed change since currently, no change is taking place at all.

we want change

If GK had a Grelat shop they could probably do away with having to pay to play it which would surely make more newbies stick around and possibly tempt a few classic subscription players to come back to it.

It wouldn't be hard to make GK into a very good server. Stefan just needs to be willing to let somebody have full control over it.

Cash shop is very viable for kingdoms, i really don't want to see equipment in there though we can solve those issues in other ways but there are many things that could make a players life easier without having a serious effect on gameplay (the key to a successful game shop system)

Demisis_P2P 03-26-2011 01:26 PM

GK needs equipment in a normal shop more than it needs it in cash shop.

It wouldn't be hard to make a couple hundred more items for GK and then set up Armor and Weapon shops.

And maybe even make a mine closer to Bomboria so that it's easier for newbies to start out with crafting, etc.

Speed up the first few levels a bit.

Fix or change/remove broken spells.

EDIT: Classes shouldn't start without Reading, that is just plain annoying for no reason at all.

put in some more items in EC shop or replace the weird useless items with something useful. there's too much stuff in there, noone needs. (that weird ac +4 shield for example, black guard helmet, and stuff like that..). also event out more red dragon amulet fragments/blue dragon amulet fragments if there is already craftable RDA or BDA. makes no sense if you have no chance on getting fragments. that would improve alot already. eventcoins are pretty much useless right now, since the only nice items are gale and that dex amulet (whereas the market is flooded with them). i think that would be a good step forward

I'd rather revise all the crafted/alchemy gear stats to bridge the gap between event gear and event and revise some event gear stats if required to make sure they are slightly better then the revised crafted items.

If this path was chosen i would be happy to assist in balancing the items but i don't feel like creating a template of the idea and putting the work in if nothing came out of it.

Actually that's a good idea (to bridge the gap btw. alchemy/crafted gear and event gear). That would bring more new players to GK. I see many newbies playing until lvl 10 (no gold) and then they want to trade, because they maxed lvl and all they get from "rich players" is a "lol @ your offer". So if we bridge that gap, it would keep those players @ GK i guess, since there is no need to get event items, because they have a good gear they can lvl with further than lvl 10 (which makes them purchase gold and I guess Stefan would appreciate that too). That's a good point. Since the spawn rate on RoW/IWD/EA was drastically reduced, new players can't really catch up and get something valuable.

There is no point in upgrading to gold, if they don't get help from high lvl players (who only idle, trying to trade some stuff, when they're on - including me). I agree with your suggestion. Maybe the first step would be to ensure that players can alchemy some sort of Ring of Thieves, or Strife or something like that, because rings give the main stats and it's hard to get good rings for beginners and I can imagine that it's frustrating and boring to run around with 1,7 speed or something. Or some sort of "Quest-system" where you can get rewards for finishing quests (something like "Gold Key - finding somebody quests" with RoT as a reward) - just simply a way for beginners to catch up would be neat and raise the playercount on GK.

GK needs more auctions for kingdom leadership.

perhaps a way to get EC or dias using large amounts of play? Some people aren't that good at events and EMs run out of EC eventually :P 250 plat per dia would be a good price, seeing as they can be sold for 242 at the shop. and EC could be 10000 platinum each, maybe a little more.

I'm sure we'll never have a problem keeping our EM's supplied with EC's anymore :)
