You're working on finding people to work on the problems GK has been facing for years, problems that have been snow-balling for ages and only get worse over time.

That's not reassuring. Especially when you openly admit your response to the time it's taking is "throw something shiny at the players and keep them distracted."

No, you're really just trying to turn my words around.

I'm just pointing out what it looks like to someone who's no stranger to seeing a server go downhill. I'm not the only one who's yet to see any true results here.

Which brings me to question why don't monsters drop actual (even low level) equipment.

New players don't have much trouble getting entry-level gear. They struggle to enter the traders market.

I disagree, and I was a "new player" not long ago at all.

The raffles are great. For a total newb to win an Inferno Sword is a great thing. Since he won it, he's traded it and has been active in the trade house since.

You say that like it's a good thing.

With GK's (read: Graal's) playercount, a completely player-run economy like this will never work out for the majority of the players.

Take a leaf out of Era's book, you can compete with everyone using items you acquired without any player interaction. GK needs this type of market.

OasaTor_PK 08-07-2010 04:59 AM

ive never seen someone whine so much over free stuff.

It goes both ways, when there is a rediculously involved event that takes hours and hours to complete people complain that they don't have enough time to do it, and only the elite and dedicated do it.

On the other hand, when something is given away based on luck rather than pure man hours people ***** and whine that it was to easy.

I on the other time really don't care.

But this isn't Era, therefore it is a good thing.

Then why does GK's playercount completely depend on who's already online and not how fun and accessible the economy is?

I'm just saying that as the economy is now, it is a good thing to be active in the trade house.

you know i love you Joel, but would you be crying if you won a RDA?

Probably not but somebody else that didn't win it would be right here crying in his place.

Point is that GK is very poorly itemized and it's a huge turn off for new players.

Random raffles do very little to alleviate the overarching problem here.

Seeya 08-07-2010 07:18 AM

of course, but it's a temporary fix i'd imagine.
