Can YOU develop? If not, don't waste your money yet. It is much better to get a job elsewere first, get some development experiance under your belt before you commit to making your own server.

It's better to learn the ropes and make your mistakes on someone else's money.

dont make your own server, work on current ones and try to improve them is what i'd have to say to everyone

It is true that almost every other modern server is very similar to Era but with much worse graphical content, except maybe Aeon which was a bit more unique and had other aspects which overcome the Era / modern style but again Aeon isn't just a modern server which may be their greatest problem because they are working on 3 - 4 servers at once.

I already suggested this to him before he bought his server. I guess a couple of days on Testbed was enough for him to decide he was ready to make his own :s

I'm sure you'd need to be able to make "****" before a server. I know Graal servers aren't that glorified, but they're still higher up the talent ladder than **** is.

Funnily enough Era was also originally supposed to be 3 servers, albeit with the same concept. The GMAP's name, "era_present", is for a reason. There was originally going to be three: past, present, and future. Think Ol' West, Era, and Zone rolled into one :p. This is also the reason behind the name "Era".

you could also 'wrastle' dragons on a medieval gmap. I'm sorta dissappointed that this was never actually release.

The server had a state that is from Era.

But it's changed now.
