How much is the subscription nowadays?

I think it was $19 (in US dollars,) back in 02 when I joined. For the first four years or so Graal was really fun, especially my first server of Graal2000. If they're asking for more than that now, it probably isn't worth it.

$49.22 for a year.

not really, because no one used the term "code" (which is itself something noobs started using around 2005)...

really do hope classic goes up and these players flock to it or something.

Technically, but whether they'll actually enable it I don't know. I personally hope it doesn't because of the PvP advantages for PC players.

Which would give them a reason to pay money for real Graal.

I still think Zone would be pretty damn cool on the iphone with such a large playerbase....

Holy frack. I paid 20 bucks for lifetime subscription, so that price is completely outrageous.

I was always upset about this. I also never understood why they chose to totally delete everything, start anew, and then they expected me to pretty much singlehandedly design the whole game in a sense (under the guise of 'story' which is not my strong point). One thing that pissed me off was I had been working very diligently on designing dungeons that would work well using their crazy systems at the time, and once I finally made some real progress all of my work had been basically nullified and they decided to rescript systems.

The only real problem Classic even ever had was that the fundamental basics of game design had been skipped over: for instance, there was never any dungeon lock-and-key system designed, as simple of a concept as it might seem to be. There were also no enemies that worked very well.

I would be inclined to believe that Classic would be doing pretty decent right now if it weren't for these foolish decisions made to take the server down and work on it from scratch. I left the project for six months and came back to see little progress that I could notice.

You've been negative in every thread on the UN Forums. What's your point?

This.

Anyways.

PvP Advantages..? Cuse me I forgot I was on a WoW forum. If we combined the servers. We could actually GET players for both. They can choose over one another. I think it'd be a GREAT idea. The game could easily evolve if this opportunity is grasped. you know what they say "Life only gives you one opportunity, if you don't take it you'll lose it forever." If they have any business sense.

If a customer realizes people want this product they may want it too. In other words. Bandwagon FTW. But to be honest if they want a better shot they could advertise it as a developers place of enjoyment "Have you ever wanted to create your own game but to actually set it up was way too much for you to comprehend? well come give it a try by creating your own 2D server! Script your own systems! Animate your own world! Create everything you've wanted with only your imagination as the boundary! Try now at Graalonline!" Basically your typical certain kids game a good 2/3 of the forums has probably played as a kid which i wont say name of commerical.
