Uhhhhh ... read your posts again and explain how youre not sayin that they are basically only worried about iphone and not v6.

QuattroEngine: The iPhone apps and Graal v6 uses it. It's multi-platform which means, every update to the iPhone apps counts for Graal v6 aswell. You could basically use any of Eurocenter's apps to connect to a graal server.

We are stripping parts of the engine depending on the game though, like support for npcs or display of graal players.

Maybe this analogy will help.

Imagine for a second that there is a car company called Linux Carmakers.
They designed a car called the Gruul and then spent a bunch of time and money developing the motor to power this car.
The Gruul doesn't sell very well; it's a $50,000 75kw hatchback with wheels made of cement.
Over the years they add a few cup holders to the Gruul but for some reason it's still not selling well and they just can't understand why.
So eventually they scrap the Gruul, but they decide to keep the car motor that they spent all that time and money making and they start putting it onto a bunch of bicycles, and hey what do know suddenly the bicycles are popular. So now the Linux Carmakers car company is focusing on improving the motor to make more types of bicycles, and they change their name to Euromotor.
And every few years or so somebody might do an engine swap and put the newest model of the Euromotor engine into their old Gruul car body, but officially Euromotor isn't producing any more new Gruuls.

Seems really clear.

That is what I figured.

When is v6 actually gonna be released? I'm so sick of having massive lag on vista with graal.... :'(

sssssssssss 05-03-2010 04:20 PM

I understand the gist of what you're trying to say in that example. -_-
The problem with what you said was in plain english, they are not developing v6.

Then people would also not be saying things like this -

Graal Online, the game we pay to play and have for almost a decade, is not a product? Oh dear.

also what WD said

- if you made complete sense either.

You cannot sit here and say even though something is being made, it is NOT being developed. It just contradicts itself. Now "officially", has the company said they dropped graalonline on the pc? Otherwise, it IS officially being developed as well, unless you are the spokesperson for the company.

With all that said, I was simply asking for an ETA. Thats all. Stefan you obviously posted in here, would you mind giving one?

Crono 05-03-2010 04:32 PM

cyril, he's basically saying that Graal is not a product (which i disagree with but thats just going way off topic).

sssssssssss 05-03-2010 05:21 PM

Ok, it really doesn't matter. I paid for product or a service when I spent real money. But eh, whatever, disagree with too, it is off topic. This is the beta testing bug report for v6, so I was just asking for an ETA. Anyone give that or a progression rate and what is left?

An iBook G3 is still a product, but you ask Apple for one and they won't sell you one. It's a legacy product. >_<

sssssssssss 05-04-2010 07:31 AM

Wow, lets just see if anyone knows an ETA or can give some kind of progress for the rest of us who paid money for something that isn't a product.

There is none since the focus are on the iPhone/iPad apps... It'll basically be ready when it's ready. Be patient.

I guess he means that the service is the product (online gaming and server renting) not the binary itself which is just a client to use the service.
