:( fix

When they ask you to reactivate you need to call them.

You have a license to use XP on any 1 computer forever.

As long as you're overwriting an installation, or remove it from another PC, they will give you the code to re-activate it on the phone in 2 minutes.

"Legally" or "Technically" or whatever, you're only supposed to use that license on one computer at a time, but you can delete windows and move it to another machine, or reinstall to the same machine, as long as it's just on one machine.

Well I found out how to stop the graal.exe from randomly shutting down on me. I uninstalled graal and reinstalled it into my user folder.

I think the whole problem is Graal isn't communicating with the DirectX somehow, maybe due to Vista not liking Graal, idk... but it must have to have something to do with DirectX...

Yeah the only issue I still have is the animated flowers flash with other images showing up around them. Other than that, Graal has been running great for me.

My family took the XP install and are using it.

So yeah.

You can't be serious man.

i would of thought that they would actually bothered to start discovering a fix for it at least. paying for a game and not being able to play it is pretty stupid.

if i brought a game from a shop and it didn't run on my computer, i would take it back and get my money back, can you do this with graal? didn't think so, hence my right to complain.

it's not something to do with graal in general, it's something to do with v4 as the older version of graal runs perfectly..

Holds quite a valid point there.

Graal has posted the specs that are required to run the game. Even then, it isn't their fault. You should join the mac/linux users..

No no, he's looking for software compatibility.

Graal does need to keep up with the times.

:| This post is so annoying; I don't know where to begin.

We bought Vista, being told that other XP apps would work, and so far everything does, except Graal! Source, GRAW, even Planet Side (torque) runs fine, but not a 2D engine.

And I paid for this. And am checking this thread twice a day, for a fix, I'm really really desperate.

zell12 05-05-2007 07:32 AM

Your life is over now, you can't play graal.

Right, but it isn't our fault either.

Okay, not THAT desperate. But I'm the lead NAT on Val and have a lot of work done on a new system, and I have players and staff waiting on me.

Delta2004 05-05-2007 09:36 PM

Well I'm having issues with Graal "Stop Working" and closing out... and other image issues.

Q Menu doesn't show on some servers. Also, Top corner "A" image doesn't show.

Oh well. Honestly, complaing about it isn't going to make it go any faster. Why not research on google or something, talk to some scrpters, tell them whats going on, why is directx asking like a pos, and maybe you can help stefan fix it. idk dude, go pay 20 bucks and get a 20 gig hd and put xp on it for graal, other then that oh well.
