Yes and I can see every drop of effort you put into this piece.

Very well done, truly can't wait to see the finished product, I can see why you called it your masterpiece, because from you, this is easily one of the best pieces I've ever seen, as well as the best pieces of art I've seen that came from someone of this community, extremely impressed.

Suck up much?

His 'masterpiece' is mediocre at best. And pixel-art? Hey Elk, the 90's called, they want their 'masterpiece' back.

No, not even.

I appreciate the effort made into pixel-art, also as for "mediocre", I have two questions for you.

1. Why don't you provide a piece that is better? Don't forget to explain why considering you appear to be such a connoisseur that the piece in comparison to Elk's work is superior.
2. Why would you call me a suck-up when I'm merely giving the guy his deserved feedback for his work? Especially when I usually find Elk's work at times uninteresting.

Until you can answer either question eloquently, you're left unarmed in this argument, wouldn't be surprised considering how opinionated you appear to be.

I am voicing entirely my opinion, I'm not going to sugarcoat anything and just be completely honest. I liked Elk's pixelpainting too, but I found it disturbing how he'd made it a pixel art piece, rather than an actual painting. It would have much greater use if it were the latter.

To answer your hostile questions:

1. Why should I have to prove I'm somewhat better, to justify my objective statements?
2. Because there's a fine line between complimenting someone's good work, and blindly kissing his ass.

Take it or leave it, if you can enjoy it - fine. But in my opinion it is a waste of his artistical talents, and how pixel-art should stay in the past where it should be. It only existed this way because computers couldn't handle the amount of colours they can in this day and age, so why limit yourself?

1. You're not better, I asked you to provide a better piece of work, not that you could do better.
2. I merely said out of his own work, It was his best and that I looked forward to seeing it completed, how is this kissing his ass? I'm curious to know how that is, unless you just want to admit you're just antagonizing with this angle here.

As for the fact it's not a painting is a pretty petty critique as well.
Pixel-art is a fine practice, as well as limiting your colors, otherwise his work could potentially look like this

Your opinion is your opinion, but my opinion is that your opinion is terrible.

Stopped reading right there. Sorting to ad hominems now? Shouldn't have expected any better from this community.

But just to add; I could do better in my own way, but that's besides the points because the views I stated on pixel-art were entirely from an objective viewpoint.

Then why do you stick around, obviously all you do on these forums is start conflicts. You never provide any sort of useful information in any forum post I have seen, all you do is attack the original poster.

What, may I ask, has got you so butthurt?

My objective viewpoint is, as LAT/GFX, you are as bad as you are a human :)
