Just got systems at about 80% now. Theres a few add ons to spars that im trying to figure out if it would be better as a wep or level npc. Either way, the main systems are all the way done.

After today, the levels jumped to around 60% for outsides as well. That doesnt count insides and quest levels which are at an all low of about 30%.

Finally up yesterday! Got everything back on and all. Right now we're finishing up the systems and outside levels, then on to quests and weapons probably. The server is staff only until we finish more, for now.

It looks ok, but very weird. I don't like your cliffs, and the inventory... but it looks alright and sounds great? :o

I will see if I can check it out now. :)

Inventory might change, not sure yet.

Also, the server has a subtitle for its name: Song of Swords. This is going to go along with the story for the solo gmap.

We're going to break up a lot of the game areas to make it more unique to each place, and give each place a better reason to be at. For example, the solo gmap will consist of all quests, main town, guild registry and war rooms, warp to the abyss, the main spar house, events house, jail system, and a few extra things.

The "playerworld" gmap (as we call it) will consists of towns, shops, player houses, guild houses, and guild fortresses, and will be where most of the economy in the game takes place. There is also the abyss on a seperate gmap.

Systems at 90% btw.

It's staff only now?

Yes.

Any details on how you'll integrate the different overworlds, and how big they might be?

from what i remember, we had a portal system that would link together the overworlds: not a NPC, you had to walk to the actual portal and warp around those, like waypoints. i think the playerworld overworld was larger than the main, with the main only being like (what) 20 by 30 or something? the goal was to keep them pretty small and condensed...

Correct. We have "warp pads" around the overworlds for each gmap. To use a warp pad, you have to quest a crystal in that area, and then use it to unlock the warp (there will be an actual story to compliment this, a mini story I guess you would call it).

The playerworld gmap, which is where shops, more towns, houses, ect will be, is going to be larger than the solo gmap (which hiro was correct on, about a 25x25 or so) but not much larger. Each town will sell certain things, and be a part of certain quests possibly (although rare because the solo gmap is for that) to make it more of a reason to travel.

Map at the bottom. Like I said before, overworld still being worked on. This is the solo gmap map.

Agreed, its looking very good so far. I would like to get a closer look at that gmap, from far away some areas seem to be very nicely done.

Keep it up.

So, by saturday the playerworld should be open to the public again. LOOK FOWARD TO IT DAMNIT. :)
Also, systems are now slowly going at about 85%. Once systems are up, we may go ahead and do the events next, then a few quests, to get to hosted.

I've just went online and it's looking really awesome. I really love the weather and day/night system.
