i am up from about noon to 7:00 AM almost every day, doing work and personal things, plus i am an insomniac.

i get five hours of sleep, at best, every day. you "being up all night" is no excuse. sorry.

my ability to recruit was rudely taken away along with my tag and my rightfulness to the throne as prince or Koutaishi when Wing left, instead i got pushed aside by Dante, who is afraid of change for the samurai.

In order to fully appreciate the concept of Role Playing, one must understand that things of this nature were common during the time period we are currently in on Graal 2001. Kingdoms were burned, pillaged, raided, and the ones that survived are those that fought back for all they were worth. You can't expect to sit back and do nothing and have your kingdom prosper, you have to fight for it.
Most people spent their whole lives fighting for their kingdom. The fact that the Samurai have simply submitted to Dustari (for the most part), makes me wonder if they were ever loyal to their kingdom in the first place. Talk accomplishes a lot, but it's your actions that decide the outcome of situations the likes of this one.

Things come and things go, nothing is forever.

You have no right to speak so of Samurai. This is no ordinary "change," this is the abandonment of the principles we were founded on. This is the destruction of the hearts of the true people who once believe in Samurai. I would much rather see Samurai die completely than see it soiled by this new leadership. I didn't read any of this thread, too long. But I blame myself for what happened to Samurai, TrueHeaT shouldn't have made me the Empress.

I'll admit it was a pretty good roleplaying event. I just wish I had stayed on a little longer yesterday. :)

Guess I'll just accept that the kingdom was destroyed. Perhaps we had it coming. In Graal as in life, a peaceful, virtuous person can only survive for a short time before the selfish walk over it. The real samurai balanced their calm with power, so they needn't fear the evil of the world. Small though my part was in the kingdom, for a short time I let its power fail.

The difference is, even the most powerful samurai couldn't fight against an idiot with FTP access. hm... Maybe it's time to rethink my philosophy. :)

I didn't read this whole thread because it was too long and is most likely filled with empty arguments and stupid comments. Samurai is better now, the old Samurai everyone refers to as "loyal" and "honorable" is a joke. I never saw anyone showing their Samurai patriotism that was online ever since Dustari took Samurai over. At least Samurai now has a chance with Wing and is able to grow, not like the stagnant dying one that was

People are trying to turn Samurai into something like Dustari. Samurai was not about members being on, in fact, I liked it more when there were few on, instead of having 7 or 8 on. I was a fool as Empress, and let my OOC friends in and let them have power. At least I have some sense now...

Royalty of what? I was the Samurai Emperor after Icehawk left. I TRIED to rebuild Samurai, and I recruited a bunch of people I thought would be responsible. Of course, being a kingdom leader was EXTREMELY stressing an I quit Graal for like 6 months because of it. I have a hell of a lot more of a right to talk about it than you do, so go away.

.That's because all the old members were kicked out of Samurai as soon as Dustari "rebuilt" them. It's Dustari that's a joke. About 80% of Graal is in Dustari, wow, what a selective group :rolleyes: .

I'm not trying to say anything about Dustari, but half of the members can't RP for crap. I whispered something to someone and it was heard from across the room amazingly. Everyone thinks their rank is higher than everyone elses which pisses me off.

Valder is right Pirate Crew Samurai and Zormite were the best kingdoms and the Celts were ok but they died and Dustari CANT ROLE PLAY LIKE PC ZORMITES AND SAMURAI!!!!

I like Kamuii, but I have to agree with that. When I was in Dustari, I would get toguilds like "i hope I get a new rank soon!" or "i'm getting raised to knight soon!!!!"

Since when does Samurai matter about members? That's Dustari you're thinking about, not Samurai. Dustari has truly changed, not in a bad way, but good because it came more alike on what it should have been. Samurai is now turning worse by turning into Dustari. I dislike Wing having a last name, like Dustari has...
