But can you understand how much of that knowledge is usually editted upon? More importantly if you have to look up on Wikipedia about internet terms than you simply have no knowledge to it of your own now do you?

How isn't it, he showed up attempting to qualify his opinion as a fact with the way his sentence is structured.

Not really, Having a sense of grammar does not a fact make.
You're completely overanalyzing this.

And? Do you understand how much real world knowledge changes every day?
Any time you choose to believe something that you read or that somebody tells you, you're just accepting that particular interpretation as being the most believable at that point in time. It does not make that belief the absolute truth.

Until recently it was believed that the Triceratops and the Torosaurus were two separate species of Dinosaurs. It is now generally accepted that they are the same dinosaur in different stages of growth.

A lot of people aren't up to date on paleontology news and still incorrectly believe that the Triceratops is it's own species. Wikipedia has already been updated to reflect the new findings though. Smart eh?

I could have just given my own definition, but how much weight would that carry? Less than Wikipedia.

Wikipedia says they did, but somebody edited it to say that they lived 5000 years ago, alongside early man.

Fulg0reSama 08-16-2010 02:50 AM

Do you understand that even if facts and information is constantly changing things such as internet trends do not?

Yeah someone understands the topic. I should have said.

There are thousands of knowledgeable individuals whose single purpose in life is to ensure that every update on Wikipedia is completely factual

I half expected him to apply at Coca-cola Company as a webmaster just to edit Sprite's flavor and prove me wrong.
